We sow, we Harvest

Universal-row crop tractors produced by the Industrial Corporation Yuzhny Machinebuilding Plant have been enjoying a considerable success far beyond the boarders of Ukraine for a long time already. In the middle of nineties having the basis of long time constructers’ successful search for the best variants of tractors design the YuMP corporation started to develop a new Ukrainian tractor in which furnishing units would only be of Ukrainian 

In 1995 two prototypes of new tractors were made. The first one was the ЮМЗ-6010 with 60 h.p. output (the Д-60 diesel was supplied by the Kharkovsky plant named after Malyshev) the second one was the ЮМЗ-8210 with the 80 h.p. (the Д-313 diesel was supplied by the Kharkovsky Hammer and Sickle plant).
The state had no money for their production. But the top executives of the plant decided to modernize the produced tractors. The nevertheless following aims ;to increase the engines power up to 80 h.p.; to equip the tractors with the synchronized gear boxes including a front derive axle; to rise the transporting speed up to 30 km per h.; to implement reinforced coupling, to equip them with the hydrocapacitive steeringto improve the drivers working conditions.
In 1998 new models of tractors, namely ЮМЗ-8071/8271, ЮМЗ-8080/8280 succesfully passed state check out tests. But the search for yet better design led to creation of the Dnipro ЮМЗ-8085/8285 and ЮМЗ-10080/10280 tractors having the output of 80 h.p. and 100 h.p. respectively.
The main advantages of the Dnipro tractor produced by ЮМЗ are as follows
- The driver’s cabin new design;
- The modern engine with the enhanced output of 80 hp and 100 hp
- A new? СКПП – enhanced fast steering box with the synchronizing device for activation of the transmissions
- A new transmission with the enhanced differential and a planetary reductor of the independent shaft for power extraction
- A new double-disk one-side flow clutch mufti with a double-speed BOM reductor and an independent BOM drive
- A front drive three-hull axle of the arch type for the tractors of 80 hp output and of the enhanced load-carrying capacity with the ultimate useful load ontre frant axle up to 2 tons
- A new hydrocapacitive steering with the regulated as to angle of slope and the height steering column
- New brakes with the increased power capacity
- A new cooling system with a water radiator of smaller size but the same amount of convective heat exchange which is necessary
- New control drives in which the double –sided action cables and suspended pedals
- Electric equipment based on the implementation of modern instruments and aggregates including the on-board information system for the diesel working parameters and the agrotechnical parameters control
- A modernized separated-aggregated hydraulic system
- A new mechanism of the mounting system with the automated agricultural impleents grips
- New front wheels with the 13.6 x 20 (ЮМЗ-100/102) tires with the increased cross-country capability and load-carring capacity
- A new type of rear wheels’ 16.9 x 38 tyres of the increased load-carrying capacity
- A new comfortable driver’s cabin of a module type with the increased visibility and a modern design, with 4 pillar frame made of a special figured shape. The sizes of the doors are increased. Convexes window panes. The front ones are made of triplex, pasted in glue, the side ones are made of stalinite and bounded immediately to the doors’ framework and the hinges, the rear windowpane can be opened up to 75°.
